Our next case study is an Australian-owned E-Commer business that managed to achieve the first block – managing customers. The next part was managing customer expectations and their operations efficiently.
The ask was to design a simple, yet, sophisticated software that would manage all their inventory. This meant that the software would manage incoming stocks of a product, information from their main website regarding a stock that would be low in supply, and the ability to inform everyone involved that a product would need to be replenished.
The Fix:
This needed to be built entirely from scratch as the design needed to match their current software programs on the site and the accounting program.
Using Laravel and PHP, our team designed a custom UI that was super user-friendly and easy to use for all the staff involved.
Next, we had to program the software to be receptive to the different programs already in play. Connecting the dots would be a challenge as these programs were not exactly receptive to software that they were not already familiar with.
It took weeks and a few upgrades here and there but lo and behold, we were able to connect the systems well enough that we would be able to extract all the product information that the client needed.
This ranged from the current inventory of a product to being able to manage the replenishment of another.
The results of this project after 3 months of implementation were very good as the client experienced a higher efficiency score, a better engagement score with their customers, and a 40% increase in revenue as they were able to efficiently meet customer demand.
