Ranking software is one of the most difficult anywhere in the world to design. It’s data science in a condensed format with the data values having to be available at specific points in time, otherwise, you lose out on valuable information that may have otherwise, helped your business grow.

Getting a step ahead of the competition
This was the challenge brought to us by a Japanese business that wanted to better understand how they can get a step on the competition by knowing in advance, what products were hot in the market.
The Fix:
The only way to design such a complicated ask was to make use of one of today’s most popular database design languages in Laravel. Coupled with a high-end program that extracted data from 4 of the world’s top e-commerce marketplaces, we designed the entire program from scratch and worked to make the initial pieces of the software as aesthetic as possible.
While our front-end team worked on the aesthetics, our back-end team worked on ensuring that the program, as good as it looks, performed just as well and would exceed expectations.
The most difficult piece when it came to designing this software was its ability to extract data at a certain time – for the client to know what items are trending at a certain period in time was critical to the entire project.
Using Laravel still and PHP, we re-designed its search and data return capability to meet the client’s demands.

The Result:
When we launched the software we received favorable results from the client. This software allowed them to understand the market in ways that their competition couldn’t. They were able to understand which products stood out from others, especially in terms of how many sales were being generated for that product, how often was that product looked up across the 4 different platforms where the software connected and how often that product was added to the cart.
Needless to say, the client enjoyed our work and continues to come to us for creative design and software application ideas.
